Dragons announce 2017-18 club coaches

The Doncaster Baseball Club board is pleased to announce the head senior coaches for the 2017-18 season.

After conducting a review of the 2016-17 season, Ben Utting has been reappointed as club coach for his fourth year. To support Ben in this role, the club is actively seeking dedicated pitching and hitting coaches. Descriptions of these roles can be found at http://baseballvictoria.com.au/Get-Involved/Club-Advertisements

After 13 years heading up our women’s program, Samantha Hamilton has decided to take a break from playing and coaching. The board thanks Sam for her contributions to the club over many years.

We are happy to announce that Ursula Howard has been appointed to lead the women’s program for 2017-18. Urs brings tremendous coaching experience, including head coach of the Victorian Youth Women’s team and the Malvern women’s program.

“2017-18 will be a year of development for both our men’s and women’s programs” said club President Craig Hutton.

“Both programs have a lot of young players moving up the ranks and the focus will be on giving these younger players the experience to succeed at the highest level.”

The board is confident that Ben and Urs are the right people for this task and we are looking forward to a successful and enjoyable 2017-18 season. Go Dragons!
