And then there was one. After some heat delays and a game length of nearly 5 hours our Women's 1sts bowed out of the playoffs at the first attempt going down 9-2 to Newport, unfortunately bringing and end to their campaign. Better news for the 2nds though as a 10-5 win booked a place in the big dance next week and their chance to bring home a flag. Way to go girls! Our Men's 1sts had a great mid week win against Newport that sealed our place in the Premier League qualifying rounds for 2024/25. With Dan McGrath on the hill it wasn't as smooth sailing as hoped being down half way through the game 3-1 but the boys rallied to run out 5-3 winners. The result of the game and of others on the night meant we avoided relegation and celebrations ensued! Bring on next summer! Doing the junior part of the club proud were the The U/18 and 16 Metro teams but unfortunately both of their seasons ended in the first round of finals too.
