Tuesday, 23 June 2009 Diamond Valley - Baseball Victoria Winter Under 16 Champions.
Congratulations to the U16 Diamond Valley team who won the Baseball Victoria Winter under 16 championships in Wangaratta atthe weekend. Diamond Valley was undefeated over the two days of competition, but was forced to fight hard in every game against Dandenong Baseball Association, Geelong Baseball Association and Sunraysia Baseball League. There was some high quality baseball from all teams, with results of all five games going right to the end. Congratulations to the eight of the players from the Doncaster Baseball Club (winter and/or summer) in Simon Fitzmaurice, Mitch Ellis, Andrew Reeves, Baden Smith, Lewis Thorpe, John King, Tom Shiels and Matt McQuiggan on a great tournament. Note - Andrew Reeves (3rd Base) and Baden Smith (Outfield) were selected to the All Star Team. Congratulations to all Doncaster boys!
