Matt " the other lefty" started on the mound this week for the Donny boys against a young Werribee team . And what great job he did ! Pitching 4 innings striking out 4 and giving up only 2 hits . 67 pitches 38 strikes and 29 balls . Our bats started the game with there usual POP !! A error by Werribee allowed our lead off Matt " the other lefty" on ! A double to "Mighty Mitch" another double to Thomas " the wall" Shiels and a Opposite field home run to Josh " the big unit" Ward gave us 4 runs in the first ! Another great start !
Another 4 runs in the 2nd with 5hits and another Oppo home run this time to Callum " the rowdy one" Lethborg pretty much end the game early !!! Luke " the wild thing " Brazier came on for an innngs striking out 3 giving up a single and hitting a batter ! 4 more runs in the next inning rounded off our score to 12 runs for the day !! Lewis " the lefty" Thorpe closed out the game throwing only 15 pitches to strike out 3 ! Another great effort by our Donny boys we moved a few players around in the field which was a great test for the boys . Mighty Mitch behind the dish Thomas "the wall" to 3rd base . Kei " the samuri" Ishawara to SS and Callum " the rowdy one" to rightfield ! to name a few !
We are off to Berwick this week "the land of Krispy Cream Donuts" and of course we want to celebrate Lewis " the lefty" Thorpe's Birthday with a win ! Im SURE there will be a visit to the donut shop on our way home !
