 Doncaster Boys in 2008 Junior Teams

Fantastic news for the Doncaster Baseball Club with the news that no less than 9 of our have made Victorian/Victorian Provincial teams for the 2008 Australian Junior Nationals in January.
McGRATH, LEA & SMITH SELECTED IN U14s STATE TEAM
CONGRATULATIONS TO Daniel McGrath, Ryan Lea and Baden Smith for their selection on the 2008 Victorian U14 State Team.
The boys will be representing Victoria at the U14 National Championships in January 2008. It has been a long 2 months of trying out for the final squad of 16, the boys trained very hard and obviously showed the selectors they had the stuff ! We look forward to following the team’s performance and wish them all the success – watch this space !
REEVES, ELLIS & THORPE SELECTED IN U14s PROVINCIAL TEAM
CONGRATULATIONS TO Andrew Reeves, Mitchell Ellis and Lewis Thorpe for their selection on the 2008 Victorian U14 Provincial Team.
The boys will be going to the U14 National Championships in January 2008. It is a fantastic effort to make the team, especially for the two bottom age boys. Doncaster now has six players representing us at the U14 Nationals !!
MAZZOCATE & HORAN SELECTED IN U16s PROVINCIAL TEAM
CONGRATULATIONS TO Micheal Mazzocato and Josh Horan.
Michael & Josh are two leaders on the Doncaster U16 team and also are part of the Mens Division 1 seconds team.
ALDENHOVEN SELECTED IN U18’s STATE TEAM
CONGRATULATIONS TO Rhys Aldenhoven.
Springing into the limelight last year after a superb late season pitching performance against Upwey, Rhys has developed into a class pitcher who now finds himself pitching in a Division 1 first side at just 17.
